Mega Job Fair
Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes today organized a two day ‘Mega Job fair’ in the college campus at Mandi Gobindgarh. It was in pursuance with the placement drive being carried out by the group. In the areas of management, computer science, information technologies, civil-mechanical-electronics engineering, hotel management, educational training institutes, communication etc. More than twenty MNC’s like Reliance Communication, Sigma Vibracoistic India, Red Alkemi, Sigma Freudenberg Nok, Bharti AXA, New Swan Enterprises, Reliance Capital Service, Café Coffee Day, ATS infrastructure, Altruist India Central Tool. India mart Intermech, Highway Industries, Meera & Co., Federal Mogul Bearing India, Tata Tele Services, Ind Sigma Infotech, Mahle Filter System India, Sixth Sense Solutions, Gabriel India, Henkel Teroson India, Park Plaza, ACC Concrete, etc. Dr. Rajnish Arora, Vice Chancellor, Punjab Technical University inaugurated this job fair. While speaking on the occasion, he highlighted the importance of such job fairs as these are helpful to both the companies and the students. Instead of visiting each and every institute, number of companies join hands together under one roof. It is also convenient for the students to utilize the services of many companies at one time. He applauded the efforts of the Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes in this direction. He made a round of the campus, met participant students, HR Managers of the participating companies and wished the participants with good luck. Dr. Zora Singh, Chairman, Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes addressed the students hailing from all over the North India. Prof. Shalini Gupta, Director General, Desh Bhagat Group of Institutes appreciated the keen interest of the students to participate in this fair. She also thanked the representatives of various companies and hoped that in future also they would extend a supporting hand in organizing such events. In this job fair more than 2500 students from Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, and Rajasthan participated. There were long queues for registration. The participant showed high profile of enthusiasm and were seen jubilant. But excellent arrangement were made by the host that all the participants felt comfortable and appreciated the organizers. Before participation in this Mega Job Fair, candidates had been short listed by the respective companies through online tests. For their selection the candidates had to undergo various rounds of tests like written tests, aptitude tests, online tests followed by Group Discussion and Interviews.
